Very often we could have many plans, but the results were very different to what had been expected, either for personal planning or business.
A plan could be too distant too hollow at the point of execution. How about drawing close the sight and focusing on the upfront?
Instead of a whole big year, we all can instantly work on/out something positive today or this week.
I am sharing this tool made from Excel for planning and executing the week in a very visual way.
It is fun and intuitive to use.
The idea is if we can manage well a day, a week, and carry this on, it’s likely our year could be very fruitful at the end.

Recently had some reading about Satya Nadella and his reorganisation effort on Microsoft.
One meaningful learning is having steady, small strategic actions that are in the right direction, eventually, it could return gigantic results.
With Microsoft, Satya Nadella gradually shifted products focus to mobile, cloud and now AI; gradually and practically linked MS’s strength and product development with the users’ requirements, and the company gradually won the turn and the profitability…
All happened in smaller and steady moves and actions.
At the early stage, people were debating, ‘Satya Nadella's brave new strategy: Can Microsoft execute?’
We now know the result after these many years.
How similar the personal planning, business planning is to the case of Microsoft,
The vision, the plan, and the uncertain execution….
The right direction, solid and practical executions, the resources and people, these are easy to say, may not be that available when in need.
